We tested the JAM using Garage band and did not need to read a manual. We simply plugged our guitar into the JAM , opened Garage Band , picked a guitar amp and it was up and running. The JAM is dead quiet and makes late night jamming and recording a very simple cost effective affair.
Status lights
The LED feature is handy. Blue means you are connected but not connected to your software. When it turns green you are connected and ready to GO. When you see RED you are running your signal too hot and need to back the gain down. Like everything else on the JAM it is very intuitive and simple to figure out.
The JAM comes with a connection cable to your iOS device all you need to provide is the guitar and instrument cable.
We were very impressed with the plug and play simplicity and studio quality signal. This is pro gear that is very affordable any musicians budget. There are others on the market but Apogees is the best in its class and Made in America. Give it a try and turn your tablet into your studio.
